A Comarch Case Study
DTMS Deutsche Telefon- und Marketing Services GmbH (dtms), a German value‑added services and call‑center operator, needed a new billing platform in 2001 to handle the euro currency change and increasingly complex Intelligent Network services. dtms required flexible cross‑product discounting, near‑real‑time processing, robust number handling and tight integration with web self‑care and external partners. They selected Comarch and its Comarch BSS Suite (Convergent Billing, Interconnect Billing, OBM, CCM and Billing Mediation) to meet these needs.
Comarch implemented the Comarch BSS Suite, delivering rule‑based discounting, dealer‑oriented pricing, workflow‑driven customer management, enhanced CDR mediation and seamless interfaces that automated many manual Excel/Access workarounds. The solution was deployed within the planned timeframe, enabled near‑real‑time processing of CDR files (every 15 minutes), centralized dozens of previously disparate processes, reduced maintenance overhead and supported dtms’s advanced service settlements and its ~€15M/month turnover.
