A Comarch Case Study
FROSTA AG, a market-leading German frozen‑food producer, faced fragmented order and invoice handling with smaller suppliers—orders came by phone, e‑mail or paper and incoming invoices arrived as PDFs or paper requiring OCR—creating media discontinuity, delays and extra costs. In April 2014 FROSTA AG chose COMARCH and its Comarch Web‑EDI and Comarch B2B Network to tackle these issues.
COMARCH implemented Comarch Web‑EDI and Comarch B2B Network as centrally hosted SaaS, routing orders through the Comarch Clearing Center and delivering invoices (EDI data plus PDF images) directly into FROSTA’s invoice processing; suppliers can use Web‑EDI or direct EDI. The solution was deployed in under six months, avoided new hardware investments, and measurably reduced process duration and costs while improving the security, efficiency and speed of document exchange.
