Delta Lloyd Life, a leading Belgian life insurer, sought to optimize its underwriting across pension, group and retail lines to deliver better customer outcomes, faster decisions and higher service and satisfaction levels. To meet this challenge the company selected Comarch and its process-oriented suite — notably Comarch Underwriting, Comarch Insurance Claims and Comarch Business Process Management — for their ability to provide a global customer view and flexible process configuration.
Comarch implemented its underwriting and claims platform with BPM to automate medical questionnaires, aggregate customer data, manage tasks and provide MI reporting. The solution reduced the number of cases requiring manual underwriter intervention, sped up decision-making, lowered operational costs and gave managers visibility to spot bottlenecks and improve efficiency. Comarch’s SOA-based approach also allowed the solution to integrate into Delta Lloyd Life’s IT environment while improving decision accuracy and customer service.
