Belize Telemedia Limited, the largest telecommunications company in Belize, faced rapid growth (its mobile base doubled in under five years) and increasing complexity from customers receiving multiple invoices as new services were introduced. Comarch was engaged to tackle these challenges using its BSS/OSS suite, including Comarch Convergent Billing, Comarch Customer Management, Comarch Workflow Management, Comarch WorkForce Management, Comarch Self Care and Comarch Fraud Detection.
Comarch delivered an end-to-end solution—xDR collection, convergent rating and billing, invoice production, workflow and customer care, fraud detection, data migration and training—integrated with BTL’s PeopleSoft general ledger and network elements. The implementation helped Belize Telemedia Limited maintain market leadership (33,500 fixed lines, 130,000 cellular customers, 8,000 internet customers and 1,000+ payphones), streamlined billing and support processes, and reduced time-to-market for new services.
