Nicols Group, a Belgian manufacturer of household cleaning products active in more than 50 countries (650 employees, €100m turnover), faced rapid European growth and an HQ relocation that created urgent needs for new server-room capacity, greater scalability and lower IT costs. To meet these goals Nicols chose Comarch to migrate its environment to the Comarch cloud and to provide Infrastructure-as-a-Service as the foundation for a longer-term move toward PaaS.

Comarch executed the migration in 2013, provisioning a hybrid cloud with over 30 virtual servers, 3 TB of disk, co-location, backup and telecom services and building a Disaster Recovery Center in Comarch’s Warsaw data center (DRC launched June 2014). The Comarch solution delivered on-demand accessibility and full scalability, optimized contracted IT resources and costs, improved IT department efficiency and shortened response times — and Nicols plans to expand the relationship with Comarch into PaaS.
