ALIOR BANK S.A. engaged COMARCH to deliver Comarch Smart Finance for Mobile (for smartphones and tablets) to address the need for a secure, user-friendly mobile banking channel. The bank’s challenge was to replace SMS-based transaction codes with an integrated token-based two-factor authentication, simplify activation for customers, and improve mobile UX while lowering operating costs.

COMARCH implemented native iOS/Android apps, an HTML5 tablet app and a Mobile Integration Server, adding an integrated HOTP/HMAC token with PIN-based transaction signing and QR-code activation. The Q4/2012 rollout eliminated SMS tokens, reduced authorization operating costs, strengthened security, simplified activation, and boosted customer satisfaction—reflected in a high user rating (Google Play 4.5/5).
