NEC Nets SI Corporation adopts Colt network solutions into its backbone network

NEC Nets SI Corporation, a Japan-based systems integrator, needed a highly reliable and cost-effective backbone network that could improve performance without disrupting its existing connectivity environment. The company also wanted carrier diversity, flexible support, and stable WAN connectivity for end users across more than 400 sites. Colt Technology Services, formerly KVH, was selected to help meet these requirements with low-latency network services.

Colt Technology Services implemented Colt Ethernet Line / Hub & Spoke 1Gbps and Colt Wave 1Gbps for the backbone network, providing premium low-latency connectivity, redundancy, and a single point of contact for operations. As a result, NEC Nets SI Corporation was able to improve network diversity, reduce workloads, and achieve greater operational stability while maintaining strong value for money; it also plans to expand Colt circuits further to lower costs and keep latency and stability high.
