Compo connects 17 locations with Colt Technology Services’ SD WAN

Compo, an international supplier of horticultural and plant protection products, faced a critical network challenge. Their existing MPLS network was causing bottlenecks and could not reliably support their electronic order and SAP-based logistics systems, where a failure would halt their entire supply chain. To achieve flexible and fail-safe network management, they partnered with Colt Technology Services to implement a modern SD WAN solution.

Colt deployed a Software Defined Wide Area Network connecting 17 locations across Europe, allowing for central traffic control and local internet breakouts. The migration leveraged Colt's existing relationship as the MPLS and SIP trunk provider for a smoother transition. The results included the elimination of bandwidth bottlenecks, improved call quality, better traffic prioritization, and higher bandwidth, all achieved without an increase in cost, thereby protecting Compo's mission-critical logistics.
