Colt supports magazine launch with a dedicated hotline

Panini Deutschland GmbH, a publisher of magazines, comics, manga, stickers and trading cards, wanted to launch a competition hotline for its new magazine and needed a reliable, user-friendly way for readers to participate by phone. Working with Colt Technology Services, Panini aimed to avoid “rip-off” perceptions and provide an automated voice solution with speech recognition for a seamless caller experience.

Colt Technology Services, together with partner StarTech, built a custom IVR-based hotline using Colt Voice Line Services and service phone numbers. The solution automatically checked answers, gave callers a second chance for wrong responses, and entered correct entries into the prize draw; it went live on schedule within three months. Panini reported the project as a complete success, achieving an intuitive reader experience and a high-quality solution for future competitions, with participant data handled securely by deleting non-winning records.
