Berenberg boosts business continuity with Colt’s fully redundant network and secondary data centre

Berenberg, Germany's oldest private bank, needed to develop a high-standard dual strategy for colocation and networking between its primary and secondary data centers to meet its stringent security and disaster recovery requirements. The bank turned to vendor Colt Technology Services for a solution.

Colt provided colocation services at the secondary data center and implemented fully redundant, high-bandwidth network connections to link the data centers, enabling permanent real-time data mirroring. This Colt infrastructure allowed Berenberg to operate its entire IT infrastructure from the secondary site if needed, significantly increasing the bank's overall security and business continuity.
