Case Study: NewCloud Networks achieves ultra-low-latency Midwest expansion with Cologix

A Cologix Case Study

Preview of the NewCloud Networks Case Study

Top tier cloud solutions provider enters underserved Midwest market via production cloud node with Ohio’s most connected data center

NewCloud Networks, a national cloud services provider, needed to expand into the underserved Midwest while maintaining ultra-low latency and 100% uptime for latency-sensitive applications. To shorten relay distances and meet strict hop-time goals, NewCloud selected Cologix colocation and interconnection services, deploying a production cloud node in Cologix’s Columbus data center and using its Meet‑Me‑Room and network-neutral connectivity.

Cologix delivered a concurrently maintainable, highly connected Columbus facility with access to 40+ on-site carriers, layer 2 direct connects, multiple ingress/egress points, and enterprise security, allowing NewCloud to place a full production node in Ohio. The result was measurable: latency dropped to under 20 milliseconds, uptime expectations were preserved, and NewCloud was able to rapidly expand its Midwest footprint thanks to Cologix’s connectivity and colocation capabilities.
