Case Study: Neutral Path Communications achieves expanded Midwest transport routes and direct access to 70+ carriers with Cologix

A Cologix Case Study

Preview of the Neutral Path Communications Case Study

Neutral Path Communications instinctively turned to Cologix’s densely connected Minneapolis data center to enable new paths of connectivity in the Midwest

Neutral Path Communications, a carrier‑neutral wholesale transport provider with more than 1,300 route miles and 110,000+ fiber miles of underground backbone, needed a critical Minneapolis termination point and dense carrier access at the 511 Building to support high‑count, low‑loss fiber routes and extend service between Omaha, Denver and Minneapolis. To meet those requirements, Neutral Path turned to Cologix’s Minneapolis data center for colocation and interconnection.

Cologix delivered access to its preexisting conduit into the 511 Building and colocated Neutral Path in its Meet‑Me Room, enabling Neutral Path to terminate 432 fibers, gain direct connectivity to 70+ unique carriers and connect into the Midwest Internet Cooperative Exchange (MICE). As a result, Cologix helped Neutral Path deploy cost‑effective dark fiber and lit transport across its 1,300‑mile route, expand westward connectivity to Omaha and Denver, increase peering opportunities, lower latency and reduce transport costs for customers.
