Case Study: ElectronicBox achieves scalable, congestion-free network connectivity and resilient PoP with Cologix colocation

A Cologix Case Study

Preview of the ElectronicBox Case Study

ElectronicBox chooses colocation to support the company’s main network point of presence & exponential growth across Eastern Canada

ElectronicBox, an independent ISP serving more than 35,000 customers across Eastern Canada since 1997, needed a robust, centrally located point of presence (PoP) with guaranteed bandwidth, fast scalable connectivity, redundancy and congestion‑free network access. To meet those requirements the company chose colocation with Cologix, deploying in Cologix’s Montreal facility to be close to core routing and multiple carrier options.

Cologix implemented a deployment in its newest Montreal data centre (MTL 7) with dark fiber into the carrier hotel Meet‑Me‑Room, a network‑neutral environment and access to the Montreal Internet Exchange (QIX). That solution gives ElectronicBox connectivity to +75 unique networks, predictable power and cooling, rapid scalability and lower transit costs that the ISP passes to customers. The result: a congestion‑free, highly available PoP that supports ElectronicBox’s exponential growth, improves on‑site access for IT staff, and enables expansion into other markets while lowering operating costs.
