CloudOps, a hybrid cloud provider since 2004, needed a carrier‑neutral colocation partner to deliver the agility, scalability, security and network proximity required for its new cloud.ca virtual private cloud offering. CloudOps relied on Cologix for foundational data centre infrastructure—moving from Cologix’s MTL 3 carrier hotel into the state‑of‑the‑art MTL 7 facility—to secure low‑latency, sovereign Canadian cloud services and meet requirements for redundancy, connectivity and marketing alignment.

Cologix delivered downtown, carrier‑neutral colocation with rapid deployments, a diverse fibre ring between MTL 3 and MTL 7, and access to 75 unique network services, enabling CloudOps to launch cloud.ca with pay‑as‑you‑go billing, rich APIs and granular access controls. As a result, CloudOps migrated to Cologix’s MTL 7, gained faster time‑to‑market, stronger resiliency and cost‑effective redundancy, and can now expand across Cologix’s 24 data centres (including seven in Montreal) to support future growth.
