Scanelec, the DIY retail activity of Schneider Electric, needed to improve highly uncertain sales forecasts and a low service rate while supporting steady growth. To address this challenge, Scanelec implemented Colibri S&OP, using a simple sales forecasting process and tool to better share data across teams, suppliers, and partners.
With Colibri, Scanelec introduced a structured forecasting process, periodic cross-functional meetings, and a dedicated software tool with forecasting algorithms instead of Excel. The result was improved forecast quality and service rate, a strong reduction in penalties in the month after implementation, clearer separation of forecasting and replenishment responsibilities, and a faster launch of the solution, with the teams autonomous in the tool within about two months.
