Clinical Trial Software and Consulting Company needed to run a clinical trial platform that relied on UDP multicast for peer discovery and monitoring, but UDP multicast is disabled in most public clouds, including AWS. They engaged Cohesive Networks and deployed Cohesive Networks' VNS3 to address this limitation.

Cohesive Networks implemented two VNS3 environments in AWS — one for staging and one for production — and re-enabled UDP multicast between them. As a result, the Clinical Trial Software and Consulting Company can now connect their AWS-based cluster via VNS3 and use multicast to find and monitor cluster members, restoring their original discovery and monitoring workflow.
