XO Communications, a Verizon Company that runs one of the largest IP and Ethernet networks across the U.S. and in over 50 countries, was struggling with rapidly growing secondary data from three‑year retention requirements, eight data centers, three vCenters and 1,200+ physical servers being virtualized.
