A Cohesity Case Study
SUISA, the cooperative society representing 38,000 composers, lyricists and music publishers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, faced a surge in digital data—more than 90% growth driven by streaming—while being bound by stringent legal retention rules (financial records for 10 years and royalty data for decades). The organisation needed a modern backup solution that could scale rapidly, consolidate disparate legacy systems, automate processes to reduce administrative effort, and shorten backup windows.
SUISA deployed Cohesity DataPlatform and DataProtect on C2600 nodes, consolidating two incompatible legacy systems onto a single, web-scale platform. The rollout reduced backup times by up to 10x, greatly cut administration through automation, delivered cost savings and rapid scalability (expanded to four nodes/110 TB), and simplified operations so non-specialist staff can manage backups easily.
