SUISA, the cooperative society representing 38,000 composers, lyricists and music publishers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, faced a surge in digital data—more than 90% growth driven by streaming—while being bound by stringent legal retention rules (financial records for 10 years and royalty data for decades). The organisation needed a modern backup solution that could scale rapidly, consolidate disparate legacy systems, automate processes to reduce administrative effort, and shorten backup windows.
