Spendrups Bryggeri is a family-owned Swedish brewery with complex, distributed operations — from production and automated storage to supply chain and distribution — supporting over 1,000 employees. Its largely on‑premises IT team faced slow, unreliable backups and restores (VM restores could take one to three hours), an aging storage stack due for refresh, and a need for in‑house control, VMware integration, ransomware protection, and far simpler data management.

After a PoC with NetNordic, Spendrups deployed Cohesity (DataPlatform, DataProtect, Helios) and migrated in two weeks. The solution completed an ~80 TB first backup in under two days, halved disk consumption to about 40 TB through compression/deduplication, and delivered much faster restores, instant file search, robust ransomware protection, and remote management with automatic alerts. The result: reliable, policy‑based backups, improved RTO/RPO, no data loss during node failures, and a far easier, faster backup experience for the IT team.
