Fundaments and Cohesity Partner to Offer Self-Service Infrastructure-as-a-Service Offerings with Enterprise Data Protection

Fundaments is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider in the Netherlands serving enterprise customers from seven datacenter locations. Facing exponential data growth and a move to virtualized environments, the company struggled with costly, hard-to-manage legacy backup infrastructure, failing backups, and the need to deliver scalable, multi-tenant, self-service backup and recovery with a predictable pay-as-you-grow pricing model and multi-cloud support.

After evaluating options at VMworld, Fundaments implemented Cohesity across its datacenters and began offering Cohesity Powered services. Integration with VMware vCloud Director enabled secure multi-tenancy and tenant self-service at scale, while Cohesity’s web-scale platform, global deduplication and capacity optimization improved backup/recovery times, reduced TCO, and allowed predictable pricing. The deployment also unlocked new managed services—cloud replication, archival and disaster recovery—while making it easy to forecast and scale for future data growth.
