Cohesity Helps Sensirion Advance from Backup to a Secondary Storage Environment

Sensirion, a Swiss leader in digital microsensors with ~750 employees and global operations, needed to replace aging backup storage as costs and performance limits on its Pure Storage environment rose. The team sought a new architecture that would support Pure Snapshots and SMB targets, improve deduplication/compression for cheaper cloud backups, and enable cloud archiving to reduce tape reliance.

After a PoC with Infoniqa, Sensirion deployed Cohesity as a backup target and secondary storage management platform. Cohesity delivered rapid, simple installation, native cloud integration, and expanded capabilities (archiving, analytics, file/object storage), while delivering much faster backups and restores, an intuitive UI, reliable operations, and clear potential to extend into cloud DR and tape export.
