Christensen Farms, the United States’ third-largest pork producer, was struggling with fragmented, Access-based corn procurement systems across its feed mills that made centralized reporting slow, error-prone and risky amid volatile corn prices. To standardize procurement and automate reporting for its mills, Christensen Farms engaged Coherent Solutions to design and build a consolidated procurement application and reporting platform.

Coherent Solutions provided business analysis, solution architecture, project management and offshore development out of Minsk to deliver a Microsoft .NET/SQL Server/Infragistics–based procurement and ticketing system that automates data flow and centralizes reporting. The new solution cut manual data-entry time by 75%, greatly improved data quality, created a scalable centralized database for future mills, and led to an ongoing partnership to expand reporting across Christensen Farms’ operations.
