How this company made employee training more engaging and interactive by using Cognito Forms

Rinnai American Corporation, a subsidiary of Rinnai Corporation, needed a better way to train new partners to specify and install its tankless water heaters. Instead of relying on a 150+ slide PowerPoint presentation, the company wanted a more interactive, engaging, and effective training experience. Cognito Forms provided the central platform for this reimagined program.

Using Cognito Forms, Rinnai built a decision-tree training module with scenario-based questions, PDFs, conditional logic, and custom error messages to guide participants through real-world installation challenges. The result was a more hands-on training process that improved engagement and retention, helped trainees learn to solve problems collaboratively, and gave them a mobile reference they could use in the field. Rinnai also extended Cognito Forms beyond training to support engineering and marketing efforts.
