Large Investment Management Firm, which manages the long-term savings of millions of customers, wanted to improve the rollout and adoption of its mutual fund web-based application. To do so, it needed to identify which customers had the highest propensity to adopt the new platform. It worked with CognitiveScale and used its Profile of One and segmentation model technology to address the challenge.
CognitiveScale implemented a solution that ingests customer demographic data, fund holdings, fund transactions, contribution history, third-party private data, and other inputs to cluster customers into distinct profiles. The model helped predict who was most likely to migrate and enabled targeted messaging for marketers, backed by evidence linking AUM, LTV, and propensity to migrate. The result was proactive identification and targeting of early adopters, with customers segmented into three groups: already migrated, high propensity to migrate, and low propensity to migrate.
