OMV, an Austrian integrated oil and gas producer, needed a faster, more reliable way for production engineers to monitor well operating envelopes and spot issues early. Using Cognite Data Fusion™ from Cognite, the team was able to replace time-consuming spreadsheet-based workflows that required manual updates, copy-pasting, and carried the risk of outdated data.

Cognite helped OMV ingest data from six different source systems, including Prosper and OSIsoft PI, into Cognite Data Fusion™ and visualize it in Grafana dashboards. The result was a real-time overview of field operations with alerts, charts, KPIs, and drill-down views by field or well, helping reduce production losses and saving engineers an estimated five hours per week.
