Aker BP, a Norwegian oil exploration and development company, wanted to improve how offshore field workers accessed and used industrial data in the field. The company faced manual, inefficient inspection and maintenance processes and needed a better way to work safely and efficiently with complex operational information, using Cognite Data Fusion® and Cognite InField.

Cognite implemented Cognite Data Fusion® to contextualize data, organize equipment tags in 3D, and digitize routine inspection rounds and work packages. The results included up to a 50% reduction in visual inspection time and a 30–80% reduction in maintenance execution time, helping Aker BP improve offshore productivity, quality, and safety.
