Aker Solutions completes offshore robotics pilot on the Edvard Grieg platform with Cognite

Aker Solutions, in partnership with Aker BP, faced the challenge of testing how autonomous ground robots could safely perform offshore inspections and transmit real-time data to onshore experts for their future Yggdrasil area development.

Cognite enabled this solution by providing its Cognite Data Fusion® platform to contextualize and unify the robot's inspection data with operational context. The pilot confirmed the robot’s ability to operate safely on a live offshore platform, delivering quality data and paving the way for future remote operations, predictive maintenance, and increased operational efficiency.
