Canadian Museum for Human Rights launches Share Your Story ahead of schedule with Cogapp

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) partnered with Cogapp to build an online platform, Share Your Story, that would allow users to submit first-person video accounts in response to questions about human rights. The challenge was to create this system quickly so the museum could foster dialogue and respond to global events, a need that became especially urgent with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cogapp developed a React application integrated with third-party services like CameraTag and the YouTube Data API, providing a cost-effective and simple interface for the museum. The solution was launched ahead of schedule to collect stories of kindness during the pandemic, successfully inspiring dialogue and sharing uplifting community experiences. Cogapp ensured the platform was manageable by the museum's in-house team by integrating it with their Drupal CMS and collaborating closely on the code.
