Institutional Real Estate Inc. (IREI) engaged Cog1 to achieve GDPR compliance for its website. The challenge involved updating the site to require explicit user consent at every data submission point, providing administrators with tools to track consent and manage user data, and ensuring compliance with stringent EU ePrivacy cookie regulations. Additionally, IREI needed a more granular system for managing almost 30 different email subscription preferences.

Cog1 implemented a comprehensive solution within the WordPress CMS, building new features for privacy consent, administrator audit tools, user data management, and cookie consent. A new email preferences panel was integrated with Marketo to ensure data synchronization. As a result, Cog1 successfully deployed a fully compliant system prior to the May 2018 GDPR deadline, eliminating administrative tasks for email subscriptions and providing IREI with peace of mind regarding its user data handling.
