Swift, the global provider of secure financial messaging connecting over 11,000 institutions across 200 countries, faced a time-consuming, paper-based technical hiring process in APAC—reviewing thousands of applications to fill large engineering and data roles. They needed to save engineering and hiring-manager time, improve hire quality, remove unconscious bias, and deliver a five-star candidate experience. To solve this, Swift partnered with Codility to digitize and standardize technical screening using CodeCheck and CodeLive.

Codility replaced manual tests and on-site interviews with online CodeCheck assessments and live remote CodeLive sessions, enabling a fully remote, objective hiring workflow. The change streamlined recruiting—over 80% of Swift APAC’s technical hires now flow through Codility, two in five applicants are invited to take a Codility test, screening efficiency improved by about 70%, and more than 100 technical roles were filled with CodeCheck in 2020; candidate satisfaction remained high (100% would recommend Swift). Codility’s solution cut manual scoring, shortened feedback loops, and improved fairness and overall quality of hires.
