How Yggdrasil Gaming Overhauled Talent Marketing and Coding Interviews

Yggdrasil Gaming, a leading provider of online and mobile casino games, was struggling with slow, clunky internal coding tests and a hiring process that couldn’t scale as the company grew. To create a more candidate-centric, efficient technical screening process and to host developer meetups, Yggdrasil adopted Codility’s platform to automate assessments and run hackathons and coding competitions.

Codility automated grading of code for correctness, scalability and performance, and provided tools to run community coding events that boosted Yggdrasil’s employer brand. The implementation generated 30 applicants and 4 hires from events, reduced time-to-hire from 25 to 10 days, and saved about 5 hours per week of engineering interview time, allowing Yggdrasil to move top candidates to in-person interviews much faster.
