A Codility Case Study
Okta, a leading identity provider, faced a scaling challenge with campus hiring: recruiters were manually managing coding challenges for roughly 1,000 candidates a year and engineers were spending excessive time reviewing tests. To streamline fair, scalable screening, Okta partnered with Codility and began using Codility’s CodeCheck and later CodeLive tools to automate assessments and interviews.
By implementing Codility’s CodeCheck templates and CodeLive pair-programming sessions (integrated with Greenhouse), Okta automated scoring, reporting and candidate management, improving candidate quality while reducing interview volume. The change let Okta screen 6,000 resumes, run 2,399 Codility tests and 243 CodeLive interviews last year, yielding a ~33% pass rate to technical screens and 29 hires — outcomes Okta credits to Codility’s platform.
