How Grant Street Group Improved Management and Engagement of Applicant Traffic

Grant Street Group, a software company serving government agencies, faced a high volume of entry‑level applicants but had a lean recruiting team and wanted to preserve a high‑touch internship hiring process. To better prequalify candidates and find talented junior programmers, Grant Street Group partnered with Codility and embedded a Codility Public Test Link (and used Codility’s open API) to automate initial coding assessments within their application flow.

By using Codility to centralize testing and automatically push results into their ATS, Grant Street Group reduced recruiter time on screening, improved early candidate engagement, and increased pipeline quality. During the 2016–2017 school year they sent 164 Codility tests, resulting in 11 intern/entry‑level hires, and raised the percentage of candidates hired after an onsite interview to 60%. Codility’s solution helped them find stronger candidates faster and streamline hiring operations.
