How Gersh Academy educates students on the autism spectrum during COVID-19 with Codeproof

Gersh Academy, an education provider in Huntington, NY serving students on the autism spectrum, had to move to 100% remote learning during the pandemic. With 60 students using a mix of devices and 25% to 30% of them lacking adequate internet access, the school needed an affordable, flexible way to manage and support student devices for distance education. Gersh had previously tried ManageEngine, but found it insufficient for its device management needs.

Using Codeproof MDM, Gersh Academy deployed Lenovo, Alcatel, Samsung, Asus, Plum, and Apple iPad devices preloaded with educational apps and locked into kiosk mode with Office 365, Teams, and the Office Suite. Codeproof helped administrators track device location and data usage, approve and push apps quickly, and manage devices at a budget-friendly price. The result was a successful shift to online learning with positive feedback from students and parents, 60 devices deployed, and no security incidents reported since installing Codeproof.
