GIObikes, a worldwide online marketplace for recreational lifestyle equipment, needed to move beyond eBay and build its own scalable e-commerce platform with auctioning, buy-it-now, inventory, shipping, payment, affiliate, and social features. The platform supported 5,000 daily active users, 400 simultaneous auctions/actions, operations across 150+ countries, and helped drive around US$7 million in annual turnover.
