Puppy Dogs & Ice Cream, a children's book publishing company, partnered with the vendor CodeClouds to build a mobile eBook app. Their challenge was to create an app that seamlessly integrated with their existing Shopify ecommerce store, allowing users to access and purchase books digitally while also enabling offline reading and subscription management.

CodeClouds implemented a solution using React, Node.js, and a dedicated mobile database synced with Shopify data. They developed a custom shopping cart for the app and enabled secure, offline storage of eBooks on user devices. This allowed a major reinsurance company to successfully expand onto mobile, offering customers flexible purchasing and reading with a subscription model, all while maintaining strong app performance during user influxes.
