Irish Life, Ireland’s leading life, investment and pension company, worked with Codec-dss to address the challenge of building financial reports on top of an OLAP solution while integrating data from multiple source systems, including the Financial GL, enterprise data warehouse, Excel and third-party databases. Codec-dss helped define the functional requirements and technical design for the reporting environment.

Codec-dss implemented a centralized web-based solution using EPM Hyperion Planning and Financial Reporting, with data staged and loaded through Oracle Data Integrator. The result was a centralized reporting function with ad hoc analysis, automatically updated reporting packs, and the ability to slice and dice financial and supplementary information through web and Excel; Irish Life also reported significant improvements in finance productivity and forecasting.
