Goodbody, Ireland’s longest-established stockbroking firm, needed a full hardware refresh because its desktop estate was reaching end of life and Windows XP support was ending. The company wanted a future-proof solution that would meet current and future requirements, improve desktop management, and support better productivity across its 400+ employees. Codec-dss was selected to help implement the project, including the rollout of HP hardware.

Codec-dss delivered the refresh with high-spec HP PCs, larger widescreen monitors, and support for System Center Configuration Manager 2012 and Windows 7 desktop management. The result was faster performance, significantly improved desktop administration, and higher user satisfaction; monitors provided up to twice the usable screen space, helping traders display more information with fewer screens. Goodbody also gained the ability to run the latest third-party software, with better functionality and support.
