EPA needed a Licensing Enforcement and Monitoring Application to bring together information on licensed sites in a more structured way and help a reduced staff manage records more efficiently. Codec-dss was engaged in 2011 to support the development using Dynamics CRM and .NET, creating a system that could replace much of the agency’s manual processing.

Codec-dss delivered the LEMA solution with nearly 300 automated workflows, SharePoint and third-party integrations, and external portals for local authorities, businesses, and the public. The result was a fully custom platform that improved auditability, accelerated compliance handling, and enabled information sharing across four EPA offices and ten locations, with multiple releases rolled out after the initial go-live in 2012.
