Grant Street Group, a SaaS financial services firm that processes billions in payments and must meet PCI DSS and SSAE-16 requirements, faced an underperforming legacy backup system. Grant Street deployed CrashPlan in a hybrid-cloud model—keeping highly sensitive data behind its firewall and using the public cloud for the rest—rolling the solution out to ~150 users with professional services and Active Directory integration. CrashPlan’s decentralized, cross-platform endpoint backup and self-restore features delivered fast, secure restores (including a 300 GB local restore in about an hour and remote user recoveries), simplified administration, improved compliance support, and saved the company hundreds of IT and user hours.
