Case Study: TRAX International achieves reliable, cross-platform endpoint backup for its mobile workforce with Code42 (CrashPlan)

A Code42 Case Study

Preview of the Trax International Case Study

Reliable, hassle-free data protection for highly mobile workforce

TRAX International, a global program management and professional services firm working with clients such as the U.S. Army, NASA and the Department of Energy, faced a critical data protection challenge: highly mobile C‑level executives, developers and engineers were storing extremely sensitive, high‑value work on laptops, but existing backups were Windows‑only, LAN/VPN dependent, unreliable in government environments, and offered no visibility into remote users’ backup status.

TRAX deployed CrashPlan via a managed private cloud to provide continuous, cross‑platform endpoint backup that works anywhere without a LAN or VPN. The unobtrusive, “set‑and‑forget” client and simple admin console gave IT visibility and low overhead; CrashPlan has protected 1.4 TB of remote data, enabled fast restores (including from a stolen Mac and a failed hard drive), and delivered measurable time and cost savings and peace of mind for mobile users.
