The customer, Codemasters, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts, faced the challenge of migrating their F1 Mobile Racing game's LiveOps platform after the deprecation of GameSparks. They needed to avoid service interruptions for tens of thousands of concurrent players, migrate existing player data, and replace unique, heavily-used management tools. They engaged vendor Code Wizards to find a solution.

Code Wizards implemented the Heroic Labs Nakama offering hosted on AWS. Their solution included creating a custom admin API and a React-based LiveOps dashboard to replace the lost management functionality. This allowed Codemasters to migrate their codebase and retain critical player data. The results ensured continued online features and business for F1 Mobile Racing, avoiding player and revenue loss while providing enhanced scalability that GameSparks lacked.
