Global Orphan launches CarePortal Church Needs with Code Koalas, enabling thousands of churches and users to help families

Global Orphan, an international organization helping children and families, wanted to increase adoption of their CarePortal app. They worked with vendor Code Koalas to overcome a key bottleneck: successful adoption required both agencies and churches to join simultaneously. Their challenge was to find a way for churches to start using the platform prior to agency adoption in new markets.

Code Koalas implemented a new Church Needs feature within the existing Laravel application. This allowed churches to submit internal needs to their own congregation, mimicking the full system's workflow. The solution provided an immediate, free benefit to churches, familiarizing them with the platform and removing barriers to adoption. Code Koalas' work positioned Global Orphan as a unique player in communities, enabling countless families to get help in a quick and timely manner.
