Global Orphan launches CarePortal Card Funding and unlocks thousands of dollars in donations with Code Koalas

Global Orphan, an international organization helping children and families, needed to streamline the cumbersome process of providing goods and services to families in need through their CarePortal app. They partnered with vendor Code Koalas to develop a new Card Funding functionality to remove bottlenecks and create a more organic workflow for donations and fulfillment.

Code Koalas implemented a solution by integrating Stripe for user donations and building a custom PexCard integration for churches. This allowed churches to request branded cards, automatically sync donated funds, and directly fulfill requests, ensuring transparency with new verification processes. The launch immediately provided thousands of dollars in donations, helping hundreds of at-risk children and significantly reducing the administrative burden on agency workers.
