Wellcome Trust builds 5 Drupal 7 sites with Code Enigma

The Wellcome Trust, a biomedical research charity, hired Code Enigma to build a new Drupal 7 online science magazine and to evaluate Drupal as a potential platform for future sites. A key challenge was ensuring the Trust's internal digital team could become proficient in Drupal by the project's end to avoid reliance on external agencies.

Code Enigma built the high-traffic Mosaic site using over 100 modules while simultaneously training and documenting the build for the client's team. The solution was a success, as the Wellcome Trust's team became so proficient they subsequently built three more Drupal sites independently, establishing one of London's best in-house Drupal teams. Code Enigma also conducted performance testing using New Relic, JMeter, and BlazeMeter to ensure the site's robustness.
