Société Du Figaro launches Drupal Bourse site in weeks with Code Enigma

Société du Figaro, a major French publishing group, needed to migrate its financial news and stock market data website, Le Figaro Bourse, from a proprietary CMS to a platform that would allow for faster development of new features. The challenge was to create a reliable site that could mash up content from over a dozen different data sources while presenting a potentially overwhelming amount of financial information in a clear and navigable way. They partnered with vendor Code Enigma for technical architecture and development to build a new Drupal 7 site.

Code Enigma implemented a solution using Drupal's caching API and custom modules to ensure data reliability and availability, even during third-party service outages. They created a custom daemon to import breaking news almost instantly and used Panels to manage complex page layouts. The result was a high-performance site launched in just a few months, which astounded senior managers with its pace of development. The new Drupal site provided the foundation for ongoing weekly feature additions and integrations, dramatically accelerating the pace of development compared to the previous proprietary system.
