Bustle Digital Group launches 7+ digital properties with Code and Theory

Bustle Digital Group (BDG) faced the challenge of growing its diverse portfolio of digital publications and rethinking modern digital storytelling in a crowded media landscape. To achieve this, BDG partnered with Code and Theory to launch and redesign multiple category-breaking digital properties.

Code and Theory implemented a novel, scalable card-based storytelling system across BDG's portfolio, beginning with The Outline. This system was then adapted for various brands, including Input, Inverse, Nylon, Bustle, Romper, The Zoe Report, W, Elite Daily, and Gawker, with each site receiving a unique visual identity tailored to its audience and content. The solution provided faster, more efficient content consumption and a modernized design, successfully re-introducing iconic brands and establishing new ones.
