Amazon Ads boosts live-stream viewers 99% YoY with Code and Theory

Amazon Ads, the advertising division of the global technology company, faced the challenge of designing and executing the entire visual ecosystem for its annual flagship product launch event, Amazon unBoxed. They turned to the vendor Code and Theory to create a cohesive and flexible design system for this multifaceted event, which needed to showcase products across more than 10 digital touchpoints in less than six months.

Code and Theory developed a unified design system using 3D animation, vibrant colors, and deliberate visual cues to make complex product information engaging. The team conducted over 50 interviews to create 22 product demo videos and developed 224 assets, including event graphics and social media content. The solution resulted in a 99% year-over-year increase in live-streaming viewers and garnered 50 million impressions from major press outlets, leading Amazon Ads to partner with Code and Theory again for the following year's global event.
