A CoCENTRIX Case Study
The Mississippi Department of Mental Health faced a challenge delivering consistent, engaging daily-living and life-skill therapies: staff were creating paper charts, schedules, games, and task boards by hand, which limited interactivity and accessibility for residents. CoCENTRIX was engaged and the CARETILES suite—specifically the Talkingtiles app integrated with the CoCENTRIX Coordinated Care Platform (CoCENTRIXccp)—was selected to provide a digital, consumer-focused alternative.
CoCENTRIX implemented CARETILES/Talkingtiles integrated with the electronic health record to close the clinical loop and enable accountable data exchange between the record, the consumer, and their circle of support. Talkingtiles delivers customizable, interactive activities (flashcards, quizzes, visual schedules) that simplified staff workflows, increased resident engagement, and gave non‑verbal individuals the ability to express preferences (for example, choosing snacks), leading to greater independence and improved self‑esteem.
