A Cobuilder Case Study
+ImpaKT, a private consulting company mandated by the Ministry of Economy of Luxembourg to drive Luxembourg’s Circularity Dataset Standardization Initiative, faced the problem that construction product information is fragmented, non‑standardized or missing—which turns materials into waste at end‑of‑life and forces manufacturers to manually rework data for every customer. To digitize and standardize the 23‑page Product Circularity Data Sheet (PCDS) and enable a common language across the value chain, +ImpaKT engaged Cobuilder and its Cobuilder Define solution.
Cobuilder translated selected PCDS sections into standardized properties and PCDS context in Cobuilder Define, created digital data templates, exposed an API and an exchange protocol draft, and published public views for pilot testing with three manufacturers. The proof‑of‑concept (Phase 1 “light” PCDS) is integrated in Define, about 100 organizations from 12 countries showed interest and over 50% joined the working groups, and the initiative has reduced expected data production/transmission costs and improved data sharing and efficiency — with Phase 2 now validated by the ministry and Cobuilder continuing implementation.
